End of the School Year :(

How can it already be the end of the school year?!?! But actually...I am excited! I am so excited to not have the same everyday schedule we have had all year and more time to do fun things with the kids. The pool has opened and we have already been multiple times. We are blessed with the ability to go to our neighborhood pool and the YMCA Calypso Cover. The YMCA's pool is the perfect pool for kids. It has a spray ground and slides and the depth is mainly 3 feet. We will go to both pools, but if it is just me with the kids at the pool I think we will be at the Y a lot! This past weekend was Memorial Day weekend and we just had a blast. Austin was able to put work on hold for the weekend and we were able to go to the pools, friends houses, play outside, walks...it was great! The kids were so pooped that on Monday morning they all slept past......EIGHT O'CLOCK!! I could not tell you the last time I slept past 8:00. Here is a quick update:

Finley:

Finley turned 4 months! She had her 4 month appointment and she is whopping 10 pounds (below 3%), is 24 inches long (38%), and head is in the 22%. The doctor said she looked great! She is petite...but all the kids were petite. She is sleeping better at night and we are working on getting her to sleep through the night...slowly but surely we will get there. She rolls all around, smiles/giggles when she is happy, has started to get in her exersaucer, and has complete separation anxiety from me :( Anytime I give her to someone else (she is pretty good with Austin) she cries. I brought her to the YMCA daycare a few times and the first two times they had to come get me :( She did survive the third time. She is as cute as a button!

A little nap at the pool.
Fell asleep hanging out at dinner.

Actually fell asleep on me!!! She never does this!

Her new snarl!

Bryton:

Bryton is doing well...it is a good thing he is so cute! He is trying to talk more and more and says new words everyday. I can tell he is listening more because he tries to say the words I say. I think his favorite word right now is "huh." I am not sure where he got that from. He is full of energy. I finally was able to get him in the battery operated car we have and now he loves it! He is very scared of things until he tries them. He is not loving the pool yet, but I am hoping that comes. The water has not been too warm and he gets cold very easily. We went to the indoor pool yesterday and he was crying so much about the pool (and that he wanted to eat...after we just had our snacks) so I put him in the daycare. When we picked him up he got a card with a star on it for sharing...proud mom and dad! He finished his last day of PDO for the school year and the teachers said he did great! Lastly.....Bryton is finally sleeping IN his bed :)

 Someone woke up at 5:45!
 Haircut!

Favorite thing now is baseball!

Annabel:

Annabel finished her last day 3 day 3's preschool. She is going to miss her amazing teachers so much. Luckily, Bryton should have them next year! She is so much fun to be around and is at such a fun age. She has new friends that live two houses down (7 and 8 year old girls and a 4 year old little boy) and she is in heaven! I had to yell for her at 9:00 Sunday night to come home. They had company over and a couple extra kids were outside playing, she even stayed for dessert. They are really sweet kids and they just play back and forth at each others yards. Annabel is going to try and start swim team this week. It will be interesting. I am just hoping this really helps her learn to swim. It is 4 days/week...big commitment. I think she will have one of the best summers of her life!

Her pose waiting for her friends to come out and play.
Another fun pose at story time. Love the look??
 She said she made Finley!

 She is getting more creative.
 Her little friend's birthday party!

Daddy let her sleep in the paint!
We got a new swing set! It was my Mother's Day present :)

Funny faces with her classmates :)
 Baking cookies with daddy.

Pool wore her out.

Spring Time

I always want to write that I apologize for being late on the blog, because I have been super busy, but I think that is my new norm :) I am slowly trying to adapt to the chaos. We have been busy, but our lives have been filled with such wonderful memories. Finley had her first Easter, Annabel turned 4, and Bryton is.....SKIPPING! Life is good!

Easter:

We had a great low key Easter. We woke up and had a fun Easter egg hunt at home. It is was quite chilly, so we were only in our dressy clothes for about 30 minutes (glad I bought the kids new outfits :( ) We then backed our lunches and headed to the zoo for the day. The sun came out and we really enjoyed our day as a family.

(I think she was crying because of this ridiculous outfit I put on her)

Finely:

Finley is a sweet sweet baby. She is now 3 1/2 months old and is quite the giggler. She is sleeping in her crib at night and when we are home during the day. She still hates her car seat, but some toys in her seat have helped a little bit. She likes to eat every three hours during the day and does not like that altered one bit. She is still waking up once most nights, but goes quickly back to sleep. She scoots all around her play mat and hates tummy time. She is getting a little more hair and it is lightening up. She is currently in 3 month clothes and she seems very long to me.

Bryton:

Bryton, Bryton, Bryton! He is our little maniac. We are trying to work on positive reinforcement and it is ......challenging :( He is absolutely adorable, super funny, and all boy. He runs around the backyard with sticks as swords, he throws everything he can get his hands on, loves balls, running, still loves crackers and cookies (does not eat much else), loves getting rides on our backs, and loves hitting. His absolute favorite new thing is to skip. It is so funny - he puts his arm out and just skips all around. He is trying to talk a lot more and says new words every day.

This was Bryton for 10 seconds on the merry go round.
He had to have daddy with him :)
Oh the places he will sleep .

Yay! He fell asleep in his bed!

I came home from work one day and this is how Bryton came out of his room from his nap :)
Someone was busy at bedtime...he was so quiet we thought he was asleep.

 He loves to swim.

Annabel:

Annabel turned 4!! I cannot believe my biggest baby is 4. Time flies! Austin and I had prepped her the morning of her appointment that she would be getting shots, they would hurt, and she would probably cry. I told her that after she was a tough cookie, we would go out for milkshakes afterwards. She did amazing! It was very sad for me to watch and I just held her tight, while they gave her the shots. She cried for a bit during them and then at the end of the day she was hurting. I took her to get her first milkshake afterwards and she even saved some in her cup for her daddy. She really is so sweet and such a delight to be around. She got a new bike for her birthday and she rides all around. She has become good friends with the kids that live on our street and she is always playing with them, when they are not in school. They were all in our basement and backyard over the weekend and Austin and I looked at each other and said...this is why we moved here :) It is what we have always talked about wanting for our kids. Yesterday, she finished up her spring soccer season. It is not her strong suit right now, but I am not giving up! Her favorite thing right now is swimming. She loves it! we cannot wait for the pool to open in a few weeks.

 How can this be????

Annabel went swimming with some friends to celebrate her big day.

 Cruising on her new bike.

Her own Annie dress, thanks to her Aunt Kiera!
 Spring break zoo trip.
 Spring break aquarium trip.

 4 year check-up. Shots!

Best buds got to play one another in soccer.
 First dentist appointment...no cavities!!
Last soccer game of the spring season...played so tough, she lost both hair bands. (not so much!)

Austin and I:

Austin is busy rounding out the school year and is doing a fantastic job. I am very proud of him and of his hard work. He cares so much for his school and I am very glad our kids will be going there. Off the field he is working hard on our landscaping. We did not move in until July last year, so we did not do much on the house. It was struggling and he is doing a great job. I am busy with the kids and real estate and trying to enjoy every minute.
