She did it!

This week's blog is not going to be as fun as the rest. My computer is not reading my memory card from my camera, so only a few (not the best quality) pictures :(

Annabel is our star of the week (well of course both of them are). She rocked it at gymnastics and there were no tears. I went out there with her to start her class and she stopped after doing one thing and said, "daddy!" She wanted her daddy out there with her. I then sat with Bryton and watched as she did every station and boy did she run through them. She climbed, started to learn how to do a somersault, hung onto the bar, walked on the balance beam, and jumped on the trampoline. Her teacher was very proud of her. At the end of the class they get four stamps. After each one she would run over to me to show me. I got all excited with her and then told her to go back and sit on the mat. She would run back and sit on the patiently waiting for the next stamp. It was the cutest thing! That day she took a very long nap; which we are grateful because some days she does not nap.

Bryton is as cute as can be and is doing great! This week we had his two month appointment and the doctor said he looked perfect :) He did have to get shots and he did not like them! He weighed 10 1/2 pounds and is in the 15% for weight and height. He seems so big to us. He laughed for the first time this week. I put him in his crib under his mobile and I walked by and he was laughing at it. It is the cutest sound. I love to see all the new things he does.

Annabel is talking so much more each day. She repeats everything I say and it is pretty funny. She loves to sing and just belts it out. I will try and post a video next week.

This is how I do laundry these days.

I was so tired one day I accidentally put Annabel's diaper on Bryton...oops!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This has been a great week and we have had a lot of fun. Bryton is smiling more and making all sorts of fun noises and Annabel is saying more and more words everyday.

All smiles!

We had our first real play date, with multiple children, at our house on Friday. It was fun and crazy all at the same time. There were five 2 year olds (or close to it) and two newborns. Basically, it was a love/hate relationship the entire morning. The biggest hit by all the kids was a toy vacuum and I only had one! I thought the play date would have worn Annabel out, but no nap that day. It is becoming a little bit of a trend these days. She takes about two days off of napping and then naps a couple days and repeat. She (and I ) need her to nap!

On Saturday morning we ventured back to Annabel's second gymnastics class. It was a little bit better than the first time, but she was still not feeling it. Austin and I have decided she is just not a big fan of structure and likes to do what she wants to do. Structure is pretty important, so we will be working on that in the near future. She did enjoy herself the last five minutes, and of course did not want to leave. We hope next week will even be better.

On Saturday afternoon we had a small get together with our close friends for St. Patrick's Day. It was so fun to get all of our children together. Annabel played with a little friend all afternoon on their own. It was amazing to see. Her friend was a little older and a very good role model. Bryton had a good time too and was sad to see everyone leave.  He expressed that to us after the party.

My sweet little rocker.

Someone was left to play in their room.

Someone found their thumb.

She will swing forever!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I could not get the best pictures...as you can see :)

Birthday Parties

This week Annabel went to her good friend's birthday party on Saturday and she had a great time. It was at at little gym and a lot of her little friends were there. They are very cute together. Annabel had her first cupcake and juice box. She is deprived....we know! She loved the juice box and only liked the bottom of the cupcake. While Annabel and I were at her friend's second birthday party, Austin and Bryton had their first man date to another friend's birthday party. Both parties were a blast. I wish I had pictures of her at the gym, but I only brought my phone with me and it cannot capture the picture when she is moving around so fast.

Earlier that day we went to Annabel's first gymnastics class. I was looking forward to it all week and I was completely disappointed. Annabel cried the entire class and did not do a thing. I was devastated for a second and then Austin had to snap me back into reality and tell me to get a grip. Hopefully next week will go much better and I can get a cute picture from the class. Annabel loves going to these little gyms, so I was very surprised she did not want to participate in the class.

Bryton is doing great and is getting so big! I had to put his newborn clothes away this weekend and we switched to size 1 diapers. It was a little sad, but he is too long for the newborn clothes. Annabel has been very sweet to him this week. She is always bringing me his paci and lion. I am very surprised that she does not try to steal his paci. Here are some pictures of the two of them. I could not pick just one.

Buddies!
 Getting so big!

 Helping me vacuum.
We went to a place called Sky Zone. It is a place filled with trampolines and Annabel loved to jump.

We are having a blast everyday!

Gentle

I do not think I have said the word "gentle" more times in my entire life than I have this week. I have to keep reminding Annabel that we need to be gentle; whether it is with Papi or Bryton. Annabel loves to chase Papi with her stroller and with her vacuum. Poor Papi looks for us for saving grace. Annabel has also been a little more rough (with love) with Bryton.

Annabel loves to play with Bryton's legs and hands.

This week was a great week because Austin had two days off of work. We were able to show daddy a couple fun places we like to go.  Annabel took a few major falls this week that left me shaking, but she was alright. She fell down the stairs at the Chick-fil-A playground, she fell down the steep steps on a bouncy slide at Kazoing, and fell off a ladder on a swing set. I think I am still shaking today. She is getting much more adventurous and I am not sure I am liking it.
Fall #2.
Fall #3.

Very happy girl :)

Bryton has had a great week too. He is my little spitting up king. He is smiling a little more and enjoying being on his play mat. He has begun to lose his hair and looks like a cute little old man.

Oops! Tummy time wears him out.
Bryton loves his paci!
Someone found their finger :)

I am very grateful for the time I have with Annabel and Bryton. And each week I get more and more excited for the friendship they will share.
 Story time in Annabel's bed.

Lastly, I wanted to end with a comparison of Annabel and Bryton at 6 weeks.
