Annabel's 2nd Birthday Party

Things have been much better this week. Bryton is feeling better and smiling a lot more. He did get used to us holding him a lot and is not a big fan of us putting him down. He is a rolling machine from his tummy to his back. Tummy time does not last very long.

3 months old!

Annabel had a very busy week. She had her two year doctor's appointment, a visit to her future school, her 2nd birthday party, many play dates, and her first kiss!  Her doctor's appointment went great and the doctor was very pleased. The only thing we have to be more strict on is her sleeping. Annabel has not been the best sleeper...ever!

Really scared for her doctor's appointment.
We went to a church on Thursday to look at their Mother's Day Out and their Preschool for Annabel in the fall. I loved the preschool and Annabel will start going two half days in August. I think this is a great opportunity for her. (The bruise is still their on her head)

All smiles!

Annabel and her best friend at the park. They were holding hands and running around. On another play date at the park by our house, Annabel and her friend Kaiden kissed each other goodbye. It was very cute.  Daddy was not pleased!

Annabel had a Tangled birthday party over the weekend. It was supposed to be at a nearby park, but because of the rain we switched it to our house. It was a little cramped, but Annabel had a blast with all her friends.
The kid's kept going to the window to look at all their daddy's outside hanging out. They were yelling out the window - "Daddy!"

Our smiley little guy :)

He is not too sure about the Bumbo yet.

Derby week is upon us....Go Baby Go!!

Annabel is 2!

Sorry for the lateness of the blog, but it has been a crazy couple of weeks.  These past two weeks have really tested me as a mommy of two. Two weekends ago Bryton started to have a little cough. By Tuesday I had to take him to the doctor and the doctor said he had bronchiolitis. By Wednesday, he was wheezing and I had to bring him back in. They tested him for RSV and low and behold it was positive. The poor little guy was not a happy camper. This prognosis made us have to change our plans for Annabel's birthday and for the weekend.

We had plans to go to Atlanta on Thursday for Ben's baptism on Saturday. We were going to have a small celebration for Annabel on Friday and then celebrate Ben. I asked the doctor if we could go and he said we should not. We contemplated it up until the point of being packed, but we decided it would be best if we stayed home. I was really bummed because I wanted my sister's family to meet Bryton and I wanted to see my parents.  As the weekend went by, we knew we made the right decision. Bryton is still struggling a bit, but his spirits are up. I have barely been able to put him down since last week and that is hard with my sweet Annabel.

Annabel turned two on Friday and Austin took off work. It was a nice family day and I think Annabel enjoyed herself. I cannot believe she is already two. It makes me sad to know time goes by so fast, but happy to see what a wonderful daughter she is everyday.

Annabel loves the warmer weather and she has been playing outside everyday. She received some nice new toys to play with outside and she is loving it. I do not have the best pictures of her because she says, "No pictures Mommy!!" and puts her hands up. Also, another thing she is doing all the time now is saying, "Mommy, Annabels (and points to herself)." Everything is hers. The grocery cart at target - hers! The choo choo train - hers! The swing at the park - Mommy, Annabel's swing! It is the cutest thing the way she says. I remind her we have to share what is hers. That is a tough concept to grasp (and teach) when you are two.

 "No pictures mommy!"

 Annabel's new picnic table.

 Our poor little guy.

Daddy made chocolate pancakes for Annabel's birthday breakfast.

Present time! All wrapped in her Cars! She loved the paper more than some of the gifts.

We sang happy birthday and ate some yummy cake.

A new rocking horse from Grandma and Grandpa!

 She still fits haha.

TV time before bed.

 Loving on our little guy.

I am sorry there are not more pictures of Bryton, but I will have more next week.

Spring is here!

I am sorry I took a week off of the blog, but my memory card on my camera was ruined and I lost all my pictures for the entire week (including Easter). I am very sad that I have lost Bryton's first Easter pictures, but we are up and running again.

This has been a crazy couple of weeks: Annabel had a pretty bad accident at home and was left with two black eyes, Easter,  Austin was home all last week for spring break, Bryton is growing like a weed, warm weather has finally arrived, and our awesome Cards won the NCAA tournament!

Annabel was playing in the basement one afternoon with our babysitter (totally not her fault) and she hit a gate that was sitting down there. We are not sure how she did it, but she had a huge bump between her eyes. I had to wake her every three hours to make sure she was okay that night and we took her to the doctor the following morning. Thank God it was just a good bruise and no blood! The poor thing still has some black eyes and a spot between her eyes. This happened the last Thursday in March...so it has been a while.

Not the best picture, but you can tell it is healing.

Go Cards!

I love this crazy girl!

They had so much fun together over break.

Our painting queen.

This is where Bryton spends most of the time these days.

What up dudes??

Bryton starting grasping his toys :)

Spring has arrived. This picture was taken right before Annabel said, "No pictures mommy!"

Papi is loving being outside with the kids.

Annabel loves playing with the rocks.

Her collection. Thanks to the advice of Aunt Kiera, we now put the rocks in a bowl instead of throwing them.

Bryton is loving being outside too.

Sorry there are so many pictures, but I had to make up for the missed week.
