Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day weekend with our friends and our little family. We had a great long weekend with daddy home and we made sure to fill every minute with fun. We had two fun cookouts and then a family day at the park. On Memorial Day we went for a walk at a new park across town. They had a great paved path and afterwards we went to their spray ground and playground. Spray grounds are really big here and Annabel is slowly learning to love them.

Here is Austin trying to get her to run around.

After we went to the park we came home for a late nap. While the kids slept, we setup the backyard into our own water land. We had a new sprinkler going, baby pool filled, water table filled, and toys everywhere.
We need a real pool!
Catching some rays.

Bryton has come along with us too, but the little guy is hanging out in the stroller or the Bjorn when we go out. But when we are home....he is out and about! Bryton did start to roll to his belly in his crib this week. He finds it very comfortable :)

Happy fella :)

I brought the exersaucer out this week and Annabel thought it was for her. She keeps getting in and out of it. Bryton likes it too... for about a minute.

Here are some more fun pictures from the week. I got stuck with the stomach bug on Wednesday, so I was a little out of commission this week. Luckily, Austin was there to save the day.

I wish I could just carry them around like this.

The flash was a bit bright.

Fun times at the park.

Bryton loves his fingers!

A little haircut.

At our little spray park down the street.

He is scared of the stomach bug!

Thank you daddy!

Bryton - 4 Months!

I cannot believe Bryton turned 4 months this week. It is going by way too fast. I would like time to stand still just for a little bit. He had his doctors appointment on Tuesday and the doctor said he is doing great. He weighs 12.2 pounds (5%) and is almost 24 inches (10%) :) His head is a little larger than the rest of his body (75%-90%), but that must mean he has a huge brain! He had to get shots at his appointment and that makes me very sad to see him in pain.
This is when we got home from the doctor's office. He was pooped!

Big brain!

Crowded by toys.

It has been a great week and we have had the opportunity to do many fun things. We had play dates, library story time, visited the zoo, and a fun street festival.

She was not too sure of him.

Bouncing with her friend Kaiden at the St. Matthews Street Festival.

Annabel has been so funny recently. I cannot leave her alone for two seconds without her doing something silly or getting into trouble.

Hanging out in the stroller. - She is currently fascinated by buckling things.

Before I had Bryton, I was so nervous and scared about how Annabel would react to having a sibling and it not being just her anymore. Everyday I thank God that she has a sibling. She is being so nice to him and I love just watching them together. Bryton loves Annabel and he loves when she pays attention to him. This week she has been singing him songs, talking to him, telling me when he is crying, trying to feed him Cheerios, petting him, kicking him, and laughing with him. I love every minute of it!

Lastly, Austin and I were able to go to our friend's wedding this weekend. The wedding was really amazing and it was fun getting a night out. We really needed it. I had a great time and it was such a beautiful ceremony.

3 am Party at the Allains

Apparently Bryton and Annabel talk during the day and have a conspiracy to wake up at night together. I guess Austin and I missed the memo, because we are always completely surprised :) Other than the lack of sleep, things are going great. We have had a great week and so much fun. Annabel is talking to Bryton more and it is adorable.

This is a really bad picture, but Annabel was hanging out in Bryton's room with him and would not let me in. It was there time together.

We have been outside most days and it has been great. Annabel loves to run around and play with her friends. She and her friends play so well together. She would play with Elizabeth for hours. People joke that they will be college roommates.

Annabel discovered someone else's Arial Barbie and was carrying it all around the splash park. She was not happy when the little girl wanted the doll back.
Someone got some new shades.
Still loving her books.

Bryton has done a few new things this week; which is so fun to see. He started to laugh out loud and he rolled a few times from his back to his stomach. We are hoping he will master that soon so he can do it in his crib. He also found his toes.

Getting so big! 4 months next week!

"I do it!"

Somebody is in love with saying, "I do it!" Annabel loves to say it with everything. Annabel is hilarious and every day she makes me laugh. She is talking so much and asking a lot of questions. Her favorite word is mommy. She says it all the time. I reply, but she just repeats it again. I think she just wants to make sure I am paying attention to her.
Eating her raisons at a play date.
Somebody is in trouble!

Annabel is passed out by her door during nap time. We have been having some trouble getting her to nap and when I was rocking Bryton in his room, Annabel fell asleep by her door.

This is a huge step that she even picked up the green bean. We cheered!

Hanging with her friends.

Bryton had a big week. He was moved to his crib. I was hearing so many success stories about babies sleeping through the night in their crib, that we tried it.  It has been a tough adjustment to say the least. The poor guy was moved to his crib and not swaddled all in one night. He hates sleeping on his back, but is learning to roll to his side to sleep. We are ready for him to be able to sleep on his belly. He is so much happier there.

My little cutie!

I miss my Rock and Play!

Hanging with daddy :)

Wide eyed.

I have finally got some pictures of the kids together. I love them!!

Annabel was reading to Bryton.

Kisses!

This past weekend was Derby! Go Baby Go!
